General Timber is an ag-based manufacturer that specializes in pressure-treated lumber, posts and poles, including rail and board fencing. We do not install fencing or barns, but we can gladly refer you to them! The same is true with your aging barn or weathering fence. General Timber does not restore or re-coat your project, but we know the experienced folks who can!

- Is General Timber licensed and insured?
General Timber treats its products to the AWPA (American Wood Producers Association) standards. It also holds an up-to-date Commercial Pesticide License. Our delivery truck fleet is properly licensed and insured with the state of North Carolina.
- What type of pressure treatment is used for the fence posts?
General Timber pressure treats their wooden fence posts with creosote or CCA (Chromated Copper Arsenate). We also sell Preserve lumber, which is approved for residential applications.
